Couple tips to care…
Poisoning:
Warn guests not to feed the dog. Ensure nothing falls from the table during cooking. Many foods are highly dangerous (especially chocolate, grapes, alcohol, fatty, salty). Keep children’s sweet gifts out of the dog’s reach.
Swallowing:
Many dogs, especially young ones, love to explore New Year’s decorations, tinsel, souvenirs, and children’s toys. This can lead to mechanical damage and even blockages.
Electric Shock:
Never leave the dog alone with connected garlands! It could cost them their life.
Burns:
A beautifully decorated home with candles or the festive glow of sparklers poses a danger to dogs, especially those with fur. Fur can ignite instantly. Keep your pet away from open flames!
Panic and Escape:
Even the calmest dog can be startled by fireworks or sudden firecracker explosions. Avoid going outside after 10:00 PM on New Year’s Eve. If your pet is sound-sensitive, tightly close windows and curtains. Provide access to the quietest room. Prepare licking or sniffing toys and give them to your pet 5-10 minutes before midnight.
Take care of yourself and your beloved dogs! Happy New 2024 Year! May your celebration be wonderful!
